I wanted to like this app! I dont want to open a news story and video starts to play. I look at the app at work sometimes and auto play is distracting. turn it off!

Alert notification has been on the icon for days now. When notifications do come and I click on them it opens the app to a tv new schedule. Follow the right people on Twitter and this app became useless. Deleted.

You highly speak about your high tech equipment to detect storms before they arrive - please update your weather app - til then I to deleted your inacurate weather software off of my phone to fox weather

Seems to have everyting working great as far as I can tell - good local news notifications/stories - click on the notificaton takes you to the actual story, not just the app front page, detailed weather forecast incl broadcast videos and radar - good looking interface - actually, I wish all the news apps worked as well!!

Every time there is an update it gets worse! Now no live streaming of the news? What happened to that? Who ever codes this app should go back to kindergarten and start over.

I just deleted the app. Every time I clicked on a news story from an alert a video from the story would play or a commercial, which is even worse. Plus the news articles were imbedded with links to other stories and of course other commercials. Just because you can do something doesnt mean you should.

Ive had this app for just 2 days. Every time a news story pops up and I try to go in, it hangs at the main NBC app screen and never goes into the story. Im deleting.

Stories seem to break late on the app and the network is markedly slow to refresh the content. Articles are interrupted with unrelated content, disrupting any flow to the coverage. Beyond breaking news, the alerts obnoxiously ring your phone moments before the nightly news, teasing you to watch. Im convinced the app is intentionally designed to play second-fiddle to and/or bolster the televised broadcast. Waste of app. Other local networks mobile apps marginally better. Unfortunate, I throughly enjoy the TV broadcast.

Half of the time the stories that are in the notifications arent there when you open the app. And recently, the app just freezes the whole phone. Great feature when youre trying to find out whats going on!

You cant be serious!? An iPad app that doesnt rotate!? Deleted.

Harder to navigate than the previous version. No landscape view. Liked the way the older version showed all the headlined news on the main page.

The update only works on vertical position and doesnt rotate to landscape. Old edition worked fine in this regards.

This app is unusable. Cuts out and is only available in vertical format. What were they thinking?

Worst update I have ever seen. After all the promotions from the news team I expected something much better. Previous version was so much better. Cannot use landscape, does not size correctly for iPad Mini and layout looks amateurish.

Would get a better review if only it was available in landscape mode, like the older one. Please fix ASAP

The people at NBC5 send out too many alerts. Up to 10 an hour for breaking news stories, local or otherwise, is too many. The app also has limited functionality. Most stories say "does not support full article, go online for full functionality." Finally, the live tv feature redirects you to the NBC "corporate" network app, where you have to sign in with your cable credentials to access tv. If I have to turn off alerts to avoid spam, stories dont work, and I cant see live TV, whats the point of downloading?

NO landscape view--why? Agree with earlier negative review(s) concerning too much video content and not enough TEXT. I can read faster than watch video. Video wastes my time. Please fix.
