NBC 5 Chicago: News & Weather App Reviews

The app itself is.....ok. I give it a low rating because every time I open the weather app, it "reminds" me to install the news app, despite the fact that it is already installed. Its annoying!

This is the worse app update of all time, no landscape view! The reason the IPad screens toggle back and forth is to accommodate difference preferences.

App appears to have stopped working, error message says "data error, please try again". Its been this way for at least a day. App support link does not open either. Hopefully whomever is responsible for supporting this app will look into whats going on.

New app good weather reports but crashes when you put in your location

I installed this on my iPad thinking that the view would rotate no matter the position of the device. It doesnt...the view is portrait only. I could only give an otherwise nicely designed app three stars. Hopefully a fix is on the way.

News alerts are great when they are informative, unfortunately many of the alerts sent by this app are designed to get you to go to "watch live" for more information. They also send alerts about new shows that are about to start.

Wow, now my only option is to watch live TV. Going to another news source until you can get this right. Totally useless at this point!

Every time there is an update it gets worse! Live streaming of the news could be done better by a group of 6 year olds! This app has been rendered absolute crap. Time to go to ABC.

Drains my battery. Useless notifications. Bring back the original NBC5 weather app, please.

Trying to force me to use this app when the old storm team is much better for weather. Cant find ten day forecast and dont want to use videos.

I dont know why this app is replacing the old weather app. If something isnt broke - why fix it?

DONT SEND OUT GAME SCORES IN A NON-SPORTS APP!!! Wow - you try to avoid the score of a Blackhawks playoff game because youve recorded the game only to have it ruined by this app blasting the score out in a notification. I had notifications on to see the weather and news. And now this app will be deleted. Allow customization of notifications!!!

This new app is horrible! Cant get the weather forecasts. Cant easily find anything! What were you thinking NBC 5?? Did you test this app with users? If you did, they must have been related to the developers because they couldnt have liked this app otherwise.

App is very slow for weather. I liked the old storm chaser app for the ease and info it provided. Maps are slow to load and dont show all info that old app did.
